Please stand for our morning prayer.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
In today’s Gospel, Lord, you show how soft your heart is toward the poor and how angry you can be at those who are so rich and arrogant that they never think of the poor, or when they do think of them, they think bad things. During this Lenten season, Lord, soften my heart to the sufferings of the poor in the way that you softened the heart of Pope Francis and of so many saintly men and women to respond to the neediest and the most desperate.
We ask all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and the of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Please remain standing until the dress and grooming check have been completed.
Thank you for your generous response at the collection during mass yesterday. You gave more than $1,500.00. That will be a tremendous help for food security for your peers at Sacred Heart High School in Amatongas. Some are asking if donations are still being accepted. The answer is YES. You can bring money to the front office to be added to the total. We will also add to it what you will be contributing today by eating the same simple meal of beans and grains that is the daily fare of the students in Amatongas. Thank you for fasting with a positive attitude of solidarity with them.
