Please stand for our morning prayer.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John:
Jesus said to his disciples:
“This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.
No one has greater love than this,
to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command you.
I no longer call you slaves,
because a slave does not know what his master is doing.
I have called you friends,
because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.
It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you
and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain,
so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.
This I command you: love one another.”
The Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, this is the beginning of a new day. You have given me this day to use as I will.
I can waste it or use it for good. What I do today is important, because I’m exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be
a. gain, not loss;
b. good, not evil;
c. success, not failure; so that I will not regret the price I paid for it.
We pray all this in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Please remain standing until the dress, grooming, and haircut check have been completed.
