Morning Announcements
Friday, May 5, 2017
Please stand for our morning prayer.

We will be led in prayer today by Senior Student Minister Nick Hertz.

We remember that we are in the presence of God.

A Reading from the book of John

The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying,
“How can this man give us his Flesh to eat?”
Jesus said to them,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink his Blood,
you do not have life within you.
Whoever eats my Flesh and drinks my Blood
has eternal life,
and I will raise him on the last day.
For my Flesh is true food,
and my Blood is true drink.
Whoever eats my Flesh and drinks my Blood
remains in me and I in him.
Just as the living Father sent me
and I have life because of the Father,
so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.
This is the bread that came down from heaven.
Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died,
whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
These things he said while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

The Gospel of the Lord.

Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Loving God, this morning we enter into the quietness and stillness of your presence to begin the day, so that out of this moment we may take with us serenity which will last us through the rough and smooth of this day’s life. We pause to begin this day with you so that we may be able to continue it with your strength and end it without regret. Hear this, our morning prayer, in the name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and for the sake of those who need your presence most. Amen.

We pray all this in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.

Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Please remain standing until the dress, grooming, and haircut check have been completed.
