Please stand for our morning prayer.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Father, you created our minds and you are the source of all knowledge. During this week of quarter assessments, enlighten our understanding. Free us from mental laziness and the tendency to take short cuts. As we study, give us a focused spirit, a quick understanding, the ability to remember what we study, and the powerful assistance of your grace, so that what we learn we may one day be able to apply to the coming of your Kingdom.
We ask all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and the of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Please remain standing until the dress and grooming check have been completed.
First Quarter Assessments
First Quarter Assessments on Tuesday will be Science, Art, Band, and Journalism Lab.
Aid to Mexico Earthquake Victims
We have been given a great opportunity to directly aid the victims of Mexico City’s recent Earthquake. A local citizen is loading an eighteen wheeler and will drive it directly to the worst hit areas next weekend. Many local groups are participating by gathering items needed. Saint Stanislaus has been asked to contribute clothes, shoes, etc. If you have any clothes that you would like to donate, bring them in a plastic bag and take them to room 221 by this Friday, October 6th.
Seniors are reminded that if you have an issue with your senior ring that must be resolved, the ring representative will be in Mrs. Estrade’s office at 8:00 AM this Thursday, October 5th to help you.
Teen Read Week
It’s National Teen Read Week and the library is celebrating! All of the books on display will be labeled by genre, making it even easier to find that perfect mystery, comedy, or adventure book. There’s also two new special displays to check out, and you can learn about some book giveaways and contests for the week.
Please check the Activities Board for the following activities: Robotics, Magic Club, Drama, International Club, and RC Club.
The lunch for today is red beans and sausage; BBQ chicken sandwich; or chef salad.
Today is the birthday of 8th grader Logan Hilbert, and sophomore Luke Beyer. Happy birthday Logan and Luke! Have a great day.
Quote of the Day
The Quote of the Day today comes from St. Joan of Arc, who directed us to: “Help yourself and God will help you.”
Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
