Saint Stanislaus Math & Science Team members scored high marks at the Annual Math & Science Tournament held at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. Representing Saint Stanislaus at the tournament were Seniors Vincent Almerico, Benjamin Benigno, Nathan Bulot, Andrew Elkins, Malone Harrison, Patrick Ingram, Leyton Janowsky, and Matthew Townsend; and Juniors Boyd Housey, James Kim, Michael Raymond, and Shenghao Wang.
The team represented Saint Stanislaus very well as 7 of our 12 team members earned scholarships to Mississippi College as a result of the testing scores which totaled $80,000. Of special recognition is the 1st place finish in Computer Science and top 5% in Math for Leyton Janowsky; 1st place finish in Math for Shenghao Wang; top 5% finish in Biology for Boyd Housey; top 10% finish in Math for Michael Raymond; top 20% finish in Physics for Malone Harrison; top 15% finish in Math for Andrew Elkins; and top 20% finish in Math for James Kim.
The team of Vincent Almerico, Leyton Janowsky, Andrew Elkins, and Shenghao Wang were finalist in the Math/Science Quiz Bowl Team Championship. The Saint Stanislaus Math & Science Team is moderated by Mr. Jordan Roy.
