Tuesday, March 13, 2018

Please stand for our morning prayer.

We remember that we are in the presence of God.

Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Holy Spirit, you are always present in my mind and heart. During this week of assessments, direct my intellect by giving me the gift of knowledge and the ability to express what I know clearly. Please shape my attitude by filling me with the perseverance and fortitude I need to study without distractions and to apply myself without stress during my exams.

We ask all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and the of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.

Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Please remain standing until the dress and grooming check have been completed.

Today we will continue 3rd Quarter Assessments, with Math/Foreign Language/Reading/ESL. Tomorrow they will be Social Studies, Science Electives (STEM, Marine Science, A & P, Astronomy).

Athletic Events
The varsity baseball team will play East Central at home tonight at 6:00 PM.

Senior Honor Roll Academic Recognition
Seniors, please check your name and status on the list on Mr. Mavors office window for recognition for Alpha Honor Roll and President’s Honor Roll for the Senior Recognition Ceremony. If you think the information is incorrect or that your name should be on the list but is not, please see Mr. Mavor at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

Klagetoh Fundraiser
Fundraising for the upcoming Easter trip to Klagetoh is underway, and this week there are two ways to support the mission. Today there will be a bake sale in Diboll Plaza. Stop by and buy some treats during the two lunch periods.

There is also a week-long money drop competition between grades. Money buckets are in the resource center in front of the display case. The grade that raises the most money will win an afternoon at the beach later this semester.

The lunch for today is hamburger steak; or footlong chili cheese dog; or grilled chicken Yakitori salad.

Today is the birthday of 9th grader Andrew Dufrene and senior YangFan Zhang. Happy birthday Andrew and YangFan! Have a great day.

Quote of the Day
Today’s words of wisdom come from legendary football coach Vince Lombardi, who once said, “The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to his commitment to excellence, regardless of his choice field of endeavor.”

Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
