Please stand for our morning prayer.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Father, you created our minds and you are the source of all knowledge. During this week of final exams, enlighten our understanding. Free us from mental laziness and the tendency to take short cuts. As we study, give us a focused spirit, a quick understanding, the ability to remember what we study, and commitment to academic honesty, so that what we learn we may one day be able to apply to the coming of your Kingdom.
We ask all these things in Jesus’ name.
In the name of the Father, and the of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Please remain standing until the dress and grooming check have been completed.
Today, you will begin final exams with your 1st period exam from 8:30-10:00, followed by the Senior Farewell Service in the Bro. Peter Gym at 10:00 AM. After the Service you will meet all of your other classes with a dismissal time of 2:34 PM. The buses will leave at 2:40 PM.
Wednesday you will have your 4th/5th period exam with a break from 10:00-10:25 (snacks will be sold in Diboll Plaza) and 8th period exam after the break from 10:30-12:00. Classes will dismiss at 12:00 PM. The busses will leave at 2:00 PM.
The 8th graders will have promotion practice from 12:45-2:45 PM.
Students – service hour forms are now late. You must see Mr. Blackburn to discuss your plan to complete your hours if you have not yet done so. Students who do not complete their hours run the risk of receiving a zero on their final religion exam as well as remaining after the noon dismissal this week to complete the hours.
The lunch for today is chicken enchilada pie with beef and bean burrito; or hamburger; or grilled chicken yakatori salad.
Quote of the Day
Today’s words of wisdom come from American diplomat and educator Nicholas Murray Butler, who once said, “Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and true progress.”
Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
