Please stand for our morning prayer.
Today we will be led in prayer by freshman Zeke Tatum.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
A reading from the Gospel according to Luke:
While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them,
“This generation is an evil generation;
it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it,
except the sign of Jonah.
Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites,
so will the Son of Man be to this generation.
At the judgment
the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation
and she will condemn them,
because she came from the ends of the earth
to hear the wisdom of Solomon,
and there is something greater than Solomon here.
At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation
and condemn it,
because at the preaching of Jonah they repented,
and there is something greater than Jonah here.”
The Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, this first week of Lent is the time you give me to begin my Lenten patterns, to re-adjust my priorities, and to make use of more reflective time each day. Help me make this week a time to abstain from those things that block my relationship with you. Help me look at the deeper things inside of me, like my anger or how I treat others, so I can ask forgiveness and forgive, in just the way I like to be forgiven.
We pray all this in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Please remain standing until the dress, grooming, and haircut check have been completed.

Words of Wisdom
The Words of Wisdom today come from Pope Francis, who recently observed: “With due respect for the autonomy and culture of every nation, we must never forget that the planet belongs to all mankind and is meant for all mankind; the mere fact that some people are born in places with fewer resources or less development does not justify the fact that they are living with less.”
Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
