Please stand for our morning prayer.
We will be led in prayer today by Senior Student Minister Matthew Townsend.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John:
Jesus said to his disciples:
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower.
He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit,
and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.
You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you.
Remain in me, as I remain in you.
Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own
unless it remains on the vine,
so neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine, you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit,
because without me you can do nothing.
Anyone who does not remain in me
will be thrown out like a branch and wither;
people will gather them and throw them into a fire
and they will be burned.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.
By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.”
The Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
God of all strength, this morning we seek your presence to begin the day, so that from this prayer we may take with us a positive attitude which will last us through the setbacks and the success of this day’s life. PAUSE Give us courage to be patient, not to give up hope when hopes are long in coming true, to accept disappointment without bitterness, and delay without complaint. Hear this, our morning prayer, in the name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and for the sake of those who need your presence most.
We pray all this in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Please remain standing until the dress, grooming, and haircut check have been completed.

Words of Wisdom
Today’s Words of Wisdom come from Saint John Paul II, who told us to remember what God tells us: “Have no fear of moving into the unknown. Simply step out fearlessly knowing that I am with you, therefore no harm can befall you; all is very, very well. Do this in complete faith and confidence.”
Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
