Experience Real-Word Aviation Training with X-Plane 12 and Garmin G1000 Navigation Suite

Our aviation programs offers students access to X-Plane 12, a state-of-the-art flight simulator that closely replicates the controls and avionics found in modern training aircraft. Our Garmin G1000 navigation suite replicates modern glass cockpit aircraft; our Garmin GNS 530 replicates older round-gauge cockpits. This advanced technology gives students hands-on experience with real-world procedures, helping them build confidence, develop essential skills, and prepare more effectively for both the FAA written test and future flight training

Safe Emergency Scenario Practice

Saint Stanislaus’s aviation class is led by Dan Zwerg, Director of Technology and a licensed pilot who has been a dedicated member of the school community since 2001. With his expertise in both technology and aviation, Mr. Zwerg provides students with hands-on instruction and real-world insights, ensuring they receive top-quality guidance as they explore the fundamentals of flight and prepare for future opportunities in aviation.

  • According to Boeing’s Pilot and Technician Outlook, the world will need over 600,000 new pilots and nearly 700,000 new technicians in the next 20 years.
  • The pass rate for the FAA Private Pilot practical exam is about 74.5% in 2023, meaning roughly three out of four students who attempts the checkride succeed on their first try.
  • The average pass rate for the FAA Private Pilot Airplane written knowledge is even higher, at nearly 90%.
  • Only about 35% of pilots go on to earn the highest Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • ATP Flight School and the FAA both require a minimum of 1,500 flight hours to become an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP).
