Curriculum
“To rescue young people from ignorance, to prepare them for life, and to give them a knowledge and love of religion,” Father Andre Coindre, in 1821, founded the Institute of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
Over a century later, Saint Stanislaus continues to teach these same principles. It is our mission to help our students develop critical thinking skills and cultivate a lifelong dedication to learning that will guide them on their career path. The curriculum designed for students aims to enhance decision-making skills and help them achieve success in college.
Curriculum Overview
After graduation, over 96% of Saint Stanislaus students attend college or university. Our curriculum is designed to ensure our students are academically prepared for college. We prepare our students for college the moment they step foot on campus. To facilitate the transition from elementary school to junior high, students take core concentration classes in seventh grade. Algebra I is offered to eighth grade students who have been recommended by their math teacher. In our science classes, 7th and 8th graders have the opportunity to apply and create concepts from their classroom learning. The purpose of all of this is to prepare our young men for the high expectations and challenges they will face in high school.
Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) Classes
The honors level is available to students who have demonstrated high levels of proficiency in a given subject area and are recommended by their instructors. Honors courses provide academically qualified students with a deeper understanding of material throughout the year. Saint Stanislaus offers Advanced Placement courses to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As part of Saint Stanislaus’ AP program, students can take Biology, Calculus, Computer Science, English, History – American, History – European, and Psychology.
