Curriculum

“To rescue young people from ignorance, to prepare them for life, and to give them a knowledge and love of religion,” Father Andre Coindre, in 1821, founded the Institute of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.

Rule of Life – Preamble

At Saint Stanislaus we carry on these same teachings more than a century later. It is our mission to help our students develop critical minds and appreciate a life-long dedication to learning that will help guide them on their career path and personal decision making. Our curriculum is tailored to help our students achieve success in college and enhance decision making skills.

Curriculum Overview

Upon graduation, over 96% of Saint Stanislaus students accept and attend a college or university. The Saint Stanislaus curriculum is designed to ensure our students are ready academically for a successful college career. Our preparation for college begins the moment our students step on campus.  In seventh grade, students take the core concentration of classes to help facilitate the transition from elementary school to junior high. In the eighth grade students recommended by their math teacher may be placed in Algebra I. We integrate a variety of lab experiences into our 7th and 8th grade Science classes to allow our students the opportunity to apply and create based on fundamental classroom learning. All of this is done in order to prepare our young men for the high expectations and challenges they will face in high school.

Honors and Advance Placement (AP) Classes

Honors courses are for students who have demonstrated a high degree of competency in a given subject area and are recommended by their instructor.  Instruction in our honors courses challenges academically qualified students to work toward their potential as they discover a greater depth of material throughout the year. Advanced Placement Courses are offered to Saint Stanislaus sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Saint Stanislaus offers AP courses in Biology, Calculus, Computer Science, English, History – American, History – European, and Psychology.
