Curriculum

“To rescue young people from ignorance, to prepare them for life, and to give them a knowledge and love of religion,” Father Andre Coindre, in 1821, founded the Institute of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.

Rule of Life – Preamble

At Saint Stanislaus we carry on these same teachings more than a century later. It is our mission to help our students develop critical minds and appreciate a life-long dedication to learning that will help guide them on their career path and personal decision making. Our curriculum is tailored to help our students achieve success in college and enhance decision making skills.

Curriculum Overview

Upon graduation, over 96% of Saint Stanislaus students accept and attend college/university.  The Saint Stanislaus curriculum is designed to ensure our students are ready academically for a successful college career.  Our preparation for college begins the moment the student enters our campus.  In seventh grade, students take the core concentration.  In the eighth grade students are offered pre-algebra and algebra.  Those students recommended by their math teacher may enter algebra in the 8th grade.  The strong academic curriculum in the seventh and eighth grade prepares students for the transition to high school.

Honors and Advance Placement (AP) Classes

Honors courses are for students who have demonstrated a high degree of competency in a given subject area and are recommended by their instructor.  These honor courses are taught more intensely with greater emphasis on depth of material learned.  Advanced Placement Courses are offered to Saint Stanislaus sophomores, juniors, and seniors.  Saint Stanislaus offers AP courses in Biology, Calculus, English, American History and European History.
