Saint Stanislaus is proud to welcome Tim Lala as the new Head Coach of the Rock-A-Chaws. Coach Lala returns to SSC after seven years, having served as defensive coordinator on the 2015 state runner-up team. Coach Lala comes from a family of educators with roots in the New Orleans area. He graduated from Jesuit High School and earned his Math Education degree from LSU.

Coach John Haberman is entering his sixth season coaching at SSC and his fifth year as the offensive coordinator. The 2021 Rock-A-Chaw Offense was headlined by Regional Offensive Player of the Year and 1st Team All-State Running Back Davien Lagarde. Davien rushed for  1403 yards and 14 TD’s. Alex Fabra led the Rocks through the air with 1394 yards and 15 TD’s. The 2020 football season saw the Rocks rush for over 1600 yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground. In 2019 SSC finished second in Division 4A in passing yards (3086) and first in TD’s passing (39). 

Prior to his time at SSC, coach Haberman was part of back-to-back state championship teams at Jackson Prep. He also coached at Millsaps College, where they won a SCAC Conference Championship and at the high school level in Tennessee (Gallatin Green Wave) and Minnesota (Brainerd Warriors). 

Coach Haberman has played for or coached alongside two NFL coaches and the two all-time winningest high school football coaches in Mississippi and Minnesota. Through these experiences, he has built an offensive scheme that blends spread and power football principles that have proven successful at all levels. 

Coach Haberman was the starting quarterback and team captain at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he also double majored in Political Science and Religious Studies. He is married to Our Lady Academy alumna Victoria Romano Haberman (2007), and looks forward to his son, Jack’s, future years at SSC (2037).  



Mark Logan ’86

Coach Mark Logan is entering his Twenty-first year as a teacher and coach at SSC. The 2021 Rock-A-Chaw secondary totaled 13 interceptions, leading the Region in that category. The 2020 Rock secondary was one of the best in recent memory. Trustin Northington Ole Miss) and Grant Sides were named First Team All-Region 8 and Cornerback Davien Legarde was named to the Second Team.

Coach Logan started his career at St. Louis Catholic (1995-1996) in Lake Charles, Louisiana with fellow SSC alum Jay Artigues ’87, where he coached football, basketball, and baseball. Coach Logan also took advantage of coaching opportunities at Hancock High School (1996-1999), where he was an assistant football and baseball coach, and Pass Christian High School (1999-2002), where he was defensive coordinator and head baseball coach.

Coach Logan was a three-sport athlete at SSC playing football, basketball, and baseball. He was lucky enough to play under and learn from baseball coach, Dr. Fred Weems. He continued his baseball career collegiately at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Perkinston where he played for the legendary Ken “Curley” Farris. He finished his career playing in the MJCAC All-Star baseball game at Mississippi College in 1989. He went on to graduate from the University of Mississippi in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. 

While at SSC, Coach Logan has coached football as defensive coordinator for 10 years, including on the state championship team of 2009 and as defensive backs coach the last five years. He served as the head baseball coach for 17 years. His teams have won six division tiles, two South State Championships and two 4-A State Championships (2010 and 2015). He has twice been named Sun Herald Coach of the Year and The Mississippi Association of Coaches Coach of the Year.

Coach Logan has been married for 28 years to Kristi Breland Logan and they have two sons Luke, (2015), and Easton, (2020). 



Seth Rugg

Seth Rugg begins his second season at Saint Stanislaus in 2022. Coach Rugg worked with the WR position group in 2021. Before his arrival at SSC he was on the staff at Purvis High School where  he coached wide receivers and defensive backs. Seth played high school football at Forrest County Agricultural High School in Brooklyn, MS.


Kevin Fouquier

Defensive Line

Coach Fouquier most recently served as the Head Football Coach at Vermilion Catholic High School. He was also the Defensive Coordinator there for the 2012-2017 seasons. A perennial contender during his term, Vermilion Catholic won the 2015 LHSAA 1A State Championship finishing with a perfect 14-0 record. In all the Eagles won 10 or more games 6 times in 7 seasons.

From 2007 to 2010, Coach Foquier served as the Defensive Coordinator at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In those four seasons nine of his players went on to play in the NFL.

The 2006 season brought Coach Fouquier to Miami, Florida and Florida International University where he was the Defensive Coordinator. That year the FIU Panthers were the #1 defense in the Sun Belt Conference and led the nation in Tackles for Loss. That year, FIU linebacker Antwane Barnes was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 4th round of the NFL Draft, making him the highest draft pick in FIU history.

From 2001 to 2005 Coach Fouquier was the Assistant Head Football Coach/Recruiting Coordinator/Defensive Line Coach at Middle Tennessee State University. In 2001, the Blue Raiders were Sun Belt Champions. In 2005 MTSU had the #1 defense in the Sun Belt, and was #12 in the nation in Scoring Defense. In all, Coach Fouquier coached 14 MTSU players that went on to the NFL. From 1990 to 2001, Coach Fouquier had stops at the University of Texas at El Paso (GA); Teurlings High School (DC); Texas A&M University (GA); Sam Houston State University (Defensive Line); Louisiana Tech University (Recruiting Coordinator/Defensive Line) and the University of Central Arkansas (Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers).

Coach Lanphear comes to Saint Stanislaus after serving as the Running Backs/Defensive Backs Coach at Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, Washington.


Hogan Benvenutti ’18

Defensive Line

Coach Benvenutti enters his second season on the Rock’s staff. Coach Benvenutti will work with the Rock Defensive Line. Hogan played for the Rocks from 2016-2019 and was First Team All-Region 8 4A as a Defensive Lineman. Hogan finished his career with 136 total tackles and recorded a rushing touchdown.

Coach Stace McRaney has served at Saint Stanislaus for 24 years with a total of 31 years in education. He is entering his 14th year as the SSC Director of Athletics. 2021 is Coach McRaney’s twelfth year as head junior high baseball coach and eleventh year as head junior high football coach.

From 1995-1999, he was the Saint Stanislaus head varsity baseball coach. In past years, he has also served as assistant varsity football coach, assistant varsity baseball coach, head junior high basketball coach assistant varsity soccer coach and the head varsity soccer coach.

Coach McRaney served in the role of dean of students at SSC from 2005 to 2008 and has taught various levels of social studies classes over the years.
