Coach
Dan Zwerg is a U.S. Sailing Level 3 Sailing Coach and a U.S. Coast Guard licensed 100-Ton Master Mariner with Sailing and Towing endorsements. He is President of the Southeast Interscholastic Sailing Association and District Director for the Interscholastic Sailing Association, the national organizing body for high school sailing. He is certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and SCUBA. He has been the head sailing team coach for St. Stanislaus College since 2001.
In that time, Coach Zwerg has led the team to compete in national championships six times. The team has won fleet and team state championships fourteen times.
Coach Zwerg makes the sport of sailing accessible to all SSC students. He strongly encourages fair play and good sportsmanship among his team members.
