Please stand for our morning prayer.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Lord, what you ask of my life seems so right. It is how I want to live, following your Son, Jesus, so closely. And yet I fail so often to stay on that path. I cannot do it alone. I need your help and guidance.
I need to remember your love for me and I want to remember how very much I need you in my life.
We ask all these things in Jesus’ name.
In the name of the Father, and the of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Please remain standing until the dress and grooming check have been completed.
Today Saint Stanislaus, along with all the Brothers’ Schools, will have a meal of fasting at lunchtime. In Religion classes, Brother Bernard explained this gesture of sacrifice and solidarity with our students in Mozambique who are suffering from a Katrina-strength hurricane that hit them two weeks ago. The Brothers urge you to be as generous and positive as so many were to us when we were in need.
In a spirit of solidarity and respect, we are asking all student to participate fully in this fasting experience by giving up their normal meal. While students are free to bring their lunch from home, deliveries of food from off campus are not allowed and will be confiscated. We ask that you please respect this initiative and sacrifice with a loving attitude towards those who are desperately in need.
