Matthew Simpson ’24 Earns Perfect ACT Superscore

Congratulations to senior Matthew Simpson who earned an ACT superscore of 36 after taking the exam last month.  An ACT superscore is the final composite score made up of the highest individual section scores across all ACT tests taken by a student. The individual section scores are averaged to create a new composite ACT score, the superscore.

Matthew is the son of Drs. Samuel and Janet Simpson. Originally from Columbia, Missouri, the family relocated to Diamondhead.  Matthew attended St. Vincent de Paul Elementary School prior to enrolling at SSC. In September, Matthew was named a semifinalist in the 2023-24 National Merit Scholarship Program. His future plans include pursuing a degree in Data Science at Mississippi State University.
