Please stand for our morning prayer.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Loving Father, help me to do well in my classes today. Help me to concentrate and focus on my work. Help me to do the best I can in my assignments and in class participation. Help me to remember the needs of others through my actions and words, and finally, help me to remember you throughout my day so I can thank you for giving me one more day to live.
We ask all these things in Jesus’ name.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Please remain standing until the dress and grooming check have been completed.
Congratulations to Michael Burns for his fine performance at the Interscholastic Sailing Association Cressy Singlehanded National Championship, held in Santa Barbara, California over the weekend. Michael placed a respectable 7th in a field of 18 of the some of the best high school sailors in the U.S. In a series of 14 races, Michael scored two firsts and two seconds. Great job Michael!
Also over the weekend, Jeremy Reddoch and Joel Grumme sailed in the Halloween Regatta at Bay Waveland Yacht Club, placing 3rd overall. Way to go Sailing Rocks!
There will be a meeting today immediately following school in the Guidance Office Conference Room for those faculty and staff members who will be serving as facilitators. Those who have not previously served in this role, or who would like to know what changes have been made for this year’s process are encouraged to attend.
The city of Waveland is hosting a parade to honor Veterans this Sunday. Mrs. Tusa is looking for a few good men who are interested in volunteering to help honor these brave men and women. Please see Mrs. Tusa for more information.
Please check the Activities Board for upcoming activities.
The lunch for today is red beans and sausage; or sloppy joes; or chef salad.
Today is the birthday of sophomore Colin Wood, and Mrs. Cathy Lawson. Happy birthday Colin and Mrs. Lawson! Have a great day. Yesterday was the birthday of Mrs. Kristen Tusa. We hope you had a happy birthday.
Quote of the Day
The Words of Wisdom today come from the 31st President of the United States, Herbert Hoover, who said, “My country…gave me schooling, independence of action and opportunity for service. I am indebted to my country beyond any power to repay.”
Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
