Please stand for our morning prayer.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
Lord, it was a busy weekend and this morning I’m tired. Help me to start this week on the right foot. Take my worries from my heart, help me to do my best in my classes and activities, and give me the faith to believe that you walk with me every step of the day. May I become, even in little ways, gradually more capable of thinking, speaking, and acting as would Jesus, your Son, our Lord, model, and Brother, who lives forever and ever.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
The junior varsity football team will travel to Pearl River Central for a game at 6:00 PM.
Football ticket Sales
Tickets for Friday night’s game at home against Poplarville will be available for purchase at 8:00 am until 4:00 pm in the SSC finance office on Monday and Tuesday for families of players, managers and cheerleaders. (Two tickets may be purchased). Saint Stanislaus junior and senior students may also purchase a ticket on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday through Friday the remaining tickets will be available for purchase by the general public. All tickets are $7. There will be NO tickets sold at the gate. (Capacity remains at 25%).
We are able to have a homecoming court this year and the homecoming football game, but with current guidelines we are not going to be able to have the homecoming dance in October. Our student council will explore other dance options possibly at the beginning of the second semester.
School Photo Retakes
School photo retakes will take place on Wednesday, September 23rd from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in room 106, which is located next to Mr. Roberts’s room. Please check the display case in the Resource Center to see list of students who need to have their picture taken. If you did not take a school photo during the orientation process, then you must do so on Wednesday. Remember to wear your oxford and tie.
Students, please check the Activities Board for upcoming activities and volunteer opportunities.
The lunch for today is: beef stroganoff; or grilled chicken Yakitori salad.
Quote of the Day
The Quote of the Day, today, comes from St. Peter of Alcantara, who once noted that: “The trouble is that everyone talks about reforming others and no one thinks about reforming himself.”
Teachers please take this time to check attendance in PowerSchool and do the dress and grooming check.
Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
