Morning Announcements

Friday, August 7, 2020

Please stand for our morning prayer.

We remember that we are in the presence of God.

Dear God,

Heavenly Father, look down on us on our first day of school together after long months of uncertainty, isolation, and waiting. Bless our generous staff of teachers, administrators, coaches, Brothers, cooks, nurses, prefects, and the team working tirelessly to transform our school campus into a safe haven during this pandemic. Send down your Spirit on our whole adult team to channel and spread the depth of your loving care.

Father, show us how to welcome our students personally with your embrace at this time when a hug is a danger.  Keep them from all harm of disease, distress, and discouragement. Give them the same promise you gave to your Son Jesus: to be their rock and their shield. Listen with your big heart to their prayers when they turn to you with fear.

And finally, Father, bless our youngest and newest students by sending them new friends and parent figures to welcome and speak to them in the words of comfort and promise you want them to hear.

We beg this blessing from you, Loving Father, in union with Jesus our healer and savior, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, source of consolation and love.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.

Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Quote of the Day

Today’s words of wisdom come from former baseball player and coach Tommy Lasorda and can apply to many things beyond baseball.  He said that: “There are three types of baseball players and people – those who make it happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what happened.”

vTeachers please take this time to check attendance in PowerSchool and do the dress and grooming check.
Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
