Please stand for our morning prayer.
We remember that we are in the presence of God.
Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Loving Father, I’m grateful for the friends you have given me. Even if I have only one good friend in my life right now, I’m so grateful. You show your love for me through my friends in ways that I sometimes overlook. They give me advice, sometimes when I need it, sometimes when I don’t, which in both situations is a sign of their care for me. They listen to me complain about my life, which I do too much, and they celebrate with me, even if things aren’t always going well for them. They help me to laugh. And they help me to laugh at myself. That alone is reason to be thankful. Help me to be a good friend in return.
We ask all these things in Jesus’ name.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.
Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Please remain standing until the dress and grooming check have been completed.
Tonight the junior varsity and varsity basketball teams will travel to Pearl River Central for games at 5:00 and 7:30 PM.
The junior high soccer team will travel to Hancock for a game at 7:00 PM.
Feast of St. Stanislaus
Teachers remember to collect permission forms for tomorrow’s Feast of St. Stanislaus.
World Kindness Day
In the spirit of World Kindness day, we would like to recognize 7th grade student Laithan Stroud for purchasing donuts yesterday morning for classmates that didn’t have money on them, and for staying after and helping to clean up without being asked. Thank you to senior Josh Lee for loaning a classmate his outerwear in class when his classmate wasn’t feeling well and was cold. Finally, thank you to seniors Bob Failing and Ian Hardt for encouraging a classmate during a presentation earlier this week. Thank you Laithan, Josh, Bob, and Ian!
Attention all students! Please keep your eye on the display case in the Resource Center. Over the next several days, this display will be highlighting the important mission work that our students perform while on the Navajo Reservation in Klagetoh, Arizona. In addition, this display will be communicating ways in which you can help support the team going on the mission trip over the Thanksgiving holidays. Please support your fellow classmates by donating to their service. There will be a prize for the class who contributes the most donations!
FCA Food Collection
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is preparing Thanksgiving baskets for underprivileged families within the community. We are asking first period teachers to store the items in their rooms until next Friday. The winning class will receive an ice cream party during lunch. Help us make this a great event and bring in items. Thanks in advance.
Klagetoh Bake Sale
There will be a bake sale tomorrow during lunch to support the Klagetoh mission trip. All baked goods will be sold for $1.
Please check the Activities Board for upcoming activities.
The lunch for today is carribbean jerk chicken; or meatball sub; or grilled chicken caesar salad.
Today is the birthday of 7th grader Jack Farr and junior Danyen LeLeaux. Happy birthday Jack and Danyen! Have a great day.
Quote of the Day
The Quote of the Day today comes from an anonymous source, and says, “Kindness is the gift that everyone can afford to give.”
Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
