Morning Announcements
Thursday, September 27, 2018

Please stand for our morning prayer

We remember that we are in the presence of God

Let us pray together as a school community in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Lord, please help us to make the best of this day. Help us to pass our tests, to be active in our lessons, and to listen to our teachers. Help us not to daydream or let our minds drift to useless things. Keep us safe from self-doubt and criticism and healthy in our decisions throughout the day. Help us to learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of our classmates so that we can become leaders by example.

We ask all these things in Jesus’ name.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Saint Stanislaus, pray for us.

Will everyone please join me as we recite together the Pledge of Allegiance.

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Please remain standing until the dress and grooming check have been completed.

Athletic Events
The 7th and 8th grade football teams will play at home tonight against East Central at 5:00 and 6:30 PM.

Book Give Away
Don’t forget about the library book giveaway this week. Stop by before Friday to enter to win one of the twelve books Ms. Brannin book-talked in your English classes last week!

ACT Registration
The final day to register at normal price for the Saturday, October 27th National ACT test, which is being held here at Saint Stanislaus, is tomorrow! Seniors, this is likely the last test you can take to get scores back in time for early applications. See Coach Hoffer today with any questions or concerns about registering!

College Rep.
A representative from the University of South Alabama will be visiting today in the small dining room at the college cafe during second lunch. Please get your tray and join the conversation about this great local university. This opportunity is open to all sophomores through seniors.

Seniors, because of the visit by South Alabama today in the small dining hall, the ACT pre-administration for next Tuesday’s test will be postponed until Friday. Seniors, please be prepared to meet Coach Hoffer at the end of lunch tomorrow to fill out your personal information for the ACT.

Activities Board
Students, please check the Activities Board for the following activities: FCA, Math Lab, and RC Club.

The lunch for today is cajun baked chicken; or corn dog; or grilled chicken caesar salad.

Today is the birthday of 7th grader Nicholas Compretta and senior John Prikasky. Happy birthday Nicholas and John! Have a great day.

Quote of the Day
The Quote of the Day today comes from Nobel Peace Prize winner, Nicholas Murray Butler, who said, “Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and of true progress.”

Thanks for your attention. Ametur Cor Jesu!
