Boys and Girls Club

After School programs for children. Service includes one on one interaction with children ages 4-11 on weekdays from 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. Students must fill out a membership application and receive instruction from the program coordinator.
PLEASE NOTE: Volunteer must be 13 or older to participate. Volunteers may not take photos or use cell phones while serving at the Boys & Girls Club!

A residential home for elderly individuals. Students are required to complete an application before being accepted as a volunteer and are encouraged to make the call themselves. Please schedule 2-3 weeks ahead of time. No last-minute volunteers will be accepted. Students are expected to interact in a respectful manner with the elders and staff.
Hancock County Animal Shelter

Shelter that houses and cares for animals. Volunteers under 18 years of age must have release forms filled out by a parent or guardian. Hours of service between 8 a.m. -11:30 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Every 1st, 2nd, and 4th Saturday volunteers may serve at PetSmart in Gulfport (15134 Crossroads Pkwy) Service at the shelter will include cleaning, feeding, watering animals. At PetSmart, volunteers will walk dogs/pets around.
Hancock County Food Pantry

Emergency canned/dry food distribution center for families in need. Mostly indirect hours. Students may be expected to stock shelves, bag groceries, and perform other warehouse tasks. Hours are Monday through Friday 9-12. This food pantry always needs help during the holidays. Please call ahead to set up volunteering.
The King’s Kitchen

Outreach ministry to feed the homeless and indigent in the Community. Students will be involved in preparing and serving meals to the homeless. Please call ahead to set up volunteer service and check out their Facebook page for special events, especially during the holidays.
Rotary Satellite Club of Bay St. Louis

Students are expected to join a small, drop-in community group in removing trash from the Bay St. Louis beach, for one (1) hour. Held monthly on 2nd Saturdays. No reservation is needed. All ages are welcomed. Bring gloves and sunscreen. Encourage your fiends and family to come along.

Back Bay Mission

Fatherless and Widows – God’s Will Thrift Store

God’s Will Thrift Store is a tool to help financially support the ministry of Fatherless and Widows. Students will assist in God’s Will Thrift Store by providing administrative tasks, restocking shelves, cleaning, and much more. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Feed My Sheep

MS Gulf Coast Buddy Sports

Summertime volunteer program. Volunteers will interact with kids who are waiting for appointments in a waiting room or in the playroom and complete other tasks such as stocking supplies. Volunteers must apply in January through March and commit to at least 6 weeks of a 9-week summer program for at least 10 hours per week.
